Jay-Z and 50 Cent might want to consider renaming their summer tour Roc the Shoes. Nearly two months after the S. Carter Collection became the fastest-selling sneaker in Reebok's history, the shoe company announced a partnership with Jigga's Roc the Mic tourmate Tuesday. 50 Cent's footwear, the G-Unit Collection, will premiere in the fall in select cities, followed by a major launch in early 2004. An exclusive CD will likely be included with early purchases, similar to Jay-Z's shoe, according to Reebok. 50 wore his G-Unit kicks during his MTV Movie Awards performance Saturday (see "MTV Movie Awards: Gollum, Yoda Steal Show; Sloppy Jackasses Rock Red Carpet"). Roc the Mic will be co-sponsored by Foot Locker and Reebok, who will be coordinating meet-and-greets with the rappers on the tour. The trek kicks off June 25 in Hartford, Connecticut (see "50 Cent And Jay-Z Announce Roc The Mic Tour Dates"). Fabolous, who has also shilled for Reebok and Foot Locker, and Missy Elliott, who starred in a Reebok commercial, will make special appearances for the companies on the tour as well. Jay-Z and 50 Cent are the only non-athletes to have signature athletic footwear collections, according to Reebok.
